Why do you specifically instruct to open Internet Explorer at @4:47?
Isn't the character you type at 4:53 a colon?

@YTMrVulcan By default the only brower on a server is IE.

Hi there, for school i am trying to install exchange 2010. Does Active directory have to be installed on the same computer as the one i am installing Exchange on? I am trying to do a few different servers with one centralized Active Directory server...
I tried logging into the other server 2008 with a username and password i created from the other computers Active Directory, then tried the install and it failed...
Any thoughts?

Hi bmark0610. Active directory does not have to be on the same server as Exchange and it is actually recommended that it is not installed on the same server as Active Directory.
Make sure you run forest prep or AD prep on the network before you install to prepare the schema and the other servers in the network for exchange. Also make sure that Active Directory Lightweight directory services is installed on the server you wish to install Exchange 2010 on.
