  • NOTE: Every single 'throw' practice was done in the 'wrong' direction (with the spin)

Once you have the reserve (handle) for a Quick Opening it's best to:- 'Punch' (in the rotation direction)

'Swing & LET GO'... in the opposite direction to the way the pilot is moving through the air, (Outwards and Downwards also helps if pilot spinning)

For refrence in testing/demo for students I've done as many as five (while in flight, low level) deployments in an hour :-)

  • The initial cuts are good to meditate on.... When it goes wrong, it really goes wrong!

  • Which system is this.....deployment or diaper ???

  • So thats how they work... I have one on the ppg I just bought and pulled the handle down slightly to try to see how it worked (without pulling the pin). Didnt know it was just a big ol' package. I kinda thought the parachute just falls out of there

  • good practice!
