This is my first Youtube video... sorry, I don't have the flair and style of some of the greats out there, I just thought I would pass on some of my thoughts, maybe spark some debate and see what happens.

  • Good luck with your new baby boy.... He should be nearly 1 by now - hope he's doing well.

  • @fukkedget He's 7 months already!!! Wow, that much time has gone by, it's amazing how you have no more time to make up little videos once a baby comes along!

And not only is he an Atheist, he's also part of PETA! People eating tasty animals. ;)

  • It seems that you are still influenced by Christianity..lol The way you talk is pretty funny. you choose words with difficulty because everything that comes to your mind resembles what you were taught and you're having a hard time separating those thoughts.

  • @iesidne It's more that I don't write a script for my videos and I just speak what comes to mind. Sure, I'll say that while in church they tried their hardest to brainwash me... maybe my mind was already made up, and I resisted because I didn't see the need to follow the crowd for sense of meaning.

Spending half my life going to church (as a child you have no choice when you're parents are religious) will always have influence over my life. I just like to think I make educated choices now.

  • interesting stuff, welcome to youtube

  • @tube2a Thanks.... I'm sure as I have more time, I can make more videos. We need more voice of reason... it seems the whack-jobs have all the time to create videos!

  • @ParadoxEternal Satan in religion, I have never heard this term before. Please explain that for me if you would be so kind.

  • You seem to be ok with gay and promiscuity. Which is satan in religion. But what if the child would like to be religious? Will you then show him the religious scriptures of the world?

  • nice video.

  • when your child can read, throw a damn book about science and stuff in his room, other than that, feed him and he'll be ok.

and don't shy away from being the cool guy around the house. either you're gonna be his model, or some other bastard will.

  • So, let me get this straight? Simply because the example your were shown by your family members, did not demonstrate the values they were being taught during those two hours in church, that negates Christianity? I will be the first to confess that alot of the negativity brought on the Christian church today has been caused by people who confess to be Christian yet do not exemplify the charachterstics of one. A little closed minded to judge the validity of Christ on the actions of others though.

  • That "fear" of Hell is really more of a consequence. You know right from wrong so if you choose to do wrongly there must be a consequence for God is just. Think of it as the best judge in the world is judging his own son for first degree murder. Though you love him unconditionally, you are still just and therefore a price must be paid. Instead of the son getting the death sentence the judge steps down and takes it for you. It seems like you never really knew Jesus intimately.

  • @RuinSonic It seems so simple, but I haven't heard an honest attempt to deal with the full force of the problem.

It seems like every attempt to solve the problems only creates a host of more problems or defeats the reason for God allowing us to freely chose or reject him in the first place if he could have created a heaven first.

Why don't most apologists recognize this is a big problem like they recognize the problem of evil is a problem? I've failed to figure it out thus far.

  • @jdellio "If you look at basically everyone who is religious, I would say what... 95% share the religion of their parents."

Why do most Christians ignore that statistics even pose a problem to Christianity? I know correlation doesn't imply complete causation. If you do a crime and you were born in a rough neighbourhood it doesn't mean your illegal activity was soley caused by your background.

But if Jesus wanted to give you the best chance possible he wouldn't have put you in that situation.
