Winner (£8000) - Cav-Form
John Wade (U/G) - B.Eng Civil Engineering (1st Year)

The system offers a new method of constructing a cavity wall, eliminating the requirement of a backing block, saving on cost of the blocks, labour and materials. The greatest benefit however relates to the environment. The system delivers huge savings in terms of carbon reduction in construction.

Second prize (£1500) - Raising Aspirations
Christina Rehana Taylor (U/G) - Business and Politics (2nd Year)

Raising Aspirations believes every child should have the chance to fulfil their dream despite what their influencing external environmental factors are, it is about the individual on the inside and their passion. Therefore, we create opportunities for underprivileged children of all backgrounds to realise a 'pathway to employment' through dance.

Third prize (£500) - Printers Inc Ltd
Nick Henderson (U/G) - Internet Computing (Final Year)

The Printers Inc Ltd offers independent artists and enterprises the ability to monetise their artwork and merchandise their visual assets through exciting web & smartphone technologies. We aim to do to the print industry what Moonpig has done to greeting cards and iTunes has done to the music industry.

Runner up - Recruit a Writer
David Appleyard (P/G) - Master of Enterprise: P/T (Final Year)

Recruit a Writer is a web application that helps to alleviate many of the problems faced by freelance writers and commercial blogs. The system helps writers find regular assignments, and simplifies the lives of blog owners by making it easy for them to source new writers and commission articles.

Runner up - L'émigré
Alice Myers (PG) - Masters of Enterprise: Textiles and Fashion (One year programme)

L'émigré is a bespoke design company restoring vintage luggage using heritage inspired fabrics.
There are four main business lines:
1. Refurbished vintage pieces with l'émigré fabrics
2. A lining service for customer pieces using l'émigré fabrics
3. Book and kit allowing customers to create their own pieces
4. L'émigré fabric sold by the metre

Runner up -- Ignite
Imtiaz Ul Haq (P/G) - PhD in Finance (2nd Year)

Ignite is a non-profit organization that utilizes the collective power of ordinary people through crowdfunding, which acts as a catalyst to an entrepreneurial revolution for the benefit of deprived people in Pakistan; the ultimate goal of which is to eradicate terrorism that arises due to severe poverty
