like you, anger is very hard for me to control. I come from a military family with 5 older brothers and no sisters, so in my house anger was always resolved through violence. Now that i am an adult i have learned that i can not use violence to channel all my anger, its difficault but i now have 100% control of it. However, when i take the meds they gave me, i simply lose control and almost always end up hurting someone else. Do you notice a difference in your anger management with/without meds?

@MontySprings yea lol? well at least my face doesn't look like an old shoe.

@MontySprings really??? I don't think ignorant judgemental people should have kids either.

have the meds helped with the angerrrrrr? i mean how can they help?? really? how can meds help you control yourself. the only thing to help you control yourself is yourself. have some willpower, I'm bipolar too and I don't take meds and I control the whole disease, I'm schizophrenic and I control that too. it just seems kinda silly. if your mad at the principal from your kids school it might be because they are assholes. theres nothing wrong with being mad and not taking shit off of people.

@aslkdjfalasdfasfsads what the fuck is wrong with you? stop talking to people with mental illnesses like that you are a horrible person >:(

@deezlesteezle no. her kid is fine. he's happy! what the hell is wrong with you?
-
@aslkdjfalasdfasfsads what the hell.... :(

your kid's vice principle probably reacted that way because vice principles are usually kind of uptight! please don't feel bad about what you did! i've done some pretty crazy stuff too like break my boyfriend's laptop and kick his car door in :( i don't know why i let it out on the people i love the most, but it feels really good when you inform people about your condition so they understand. even if they still don't get it, don't worry; it's not your fault. :)
I suggest you try smoking some pot and learning to meditate, good luck calming down

I was having problems with irritablity & volatile outbursts. My psych dr changed my Seroquel from the regular to the extended release (XR). It has helped a lot. Apparently, they discovered the XR has this effect, kind of calming, but not like you get from something like Xanax or Ativan. I am better able to stop myself before I do something damaging or embarrassing. It has helped, not gotten rid of it completely. I can let little things go easier. Did I already tell you this? Good advice. Thanks.

I'm going to ask my psychiatrist about XR for Seroquel. I think you mentioned XR for Lithium as well. I don't see my doc until the end of the month so I'm going to do some Internet investigation and then call my pharmasist. I find I get violent with PMS. Both times I was locked in hospital I looked out the window, saw a full moon and on the spot started my period. I really keep track of my cycle and the moon as well now. Interesting huh!?!
Your symptoms are familiar to me. Thanks for commenting

Such great advice salty!! That book was recommended to me when I attended a smoking cessation class, but I think I threw it away because I started smoking again and got pissed off! Perhaps I need to buy another copy! Thanks for making this video!
