u say steve craddock is an average guitarist , bollocks he is amazing if u realy thought that much of weller you would know that he would not just choose an "average" guitarist to play lead for him all theese years. you are clearly an idiot

although weller really puts his heart in it
but he is just doing a tribute to the small faces, who did it best
just like the jam did it best altogether
anyway enough of the ramblings
apart from buckler did alright on the gift..
listen to steve white on this track he sounds a bit like he's bashing pans !!!!!!

its a shame really
cos From the Jam buckler and foxtons band sound tight as fucx
although i also love weller solo and style council work
seen the council several times and saw there last gig at albert hall (so anyone who knows about his stuff will know that he keeps moving on)
great cos his soulful stuff has been great
the first solo album is the best but far (no arguments)
but anyway back to the main point
there is only one man who can sing tin soldier
