  • Would this work for scanning/shooting 35mm microfilm (newspapers)? The image is usually pretty close to the edge of the film.

  • Great idea. However the transparencies must be very clean before you shoot them with your G10. Having some experience with scanning tranparencies with my Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED, I must say I would be quite affraid of digitizing any film without the help of the Digital ICE technology. No matter how clean the film may be, there is alway some dirt left on its surface and it can really be a pain in the neck trying to remove all that manually in PS. Great idea though! :) Good luck!
