@zikes83, Unfortunately, the deleted footage has been lost. I read that on Wikipedia. what a shame, as it would be fun to see the original cut of the movie.

Isn't he at the table scene where he accuses Guinevere of infidelity?

Saw this in theater when came out amazing movie. A remake of this would be a very bad idea.

Patrick Stewart's also noticeable in this scene

I was lucky . my mom liked horror movies and bloody movies like this. I saw Excalibur and some horror movie for my 13th birthday. First movie I watched on my new 42" screen was this movie in HD from Netflix on my Xbox360. This movie holds its own against any of the crap made today.

2:45, Patrick Stewart getting into the groove on the dance floor :D

Damn, you must of been a ninja to sneak into an 18 certificate rated film :D

Liam was not an extra in this movie. He played the part of Sir Gawain through out the film. I had the pleasure of doubling for him in the joust scene between him and Sir Lancelot. A very nice guty then and now I am sure
interesting...I always noticed that Liam Neeson was in that scene, so I assumed that he was playing Gawain when he was younger. As with Arthur and the other knights, I thought he just grows a beard later. So ya, he could just be playing a younger Gawain. Excalibur's a great film.

Hey that's interesting! You're right, it good well be a scene with the young Gawain. We just need to ask John Boorman know to know what is it. :)

Yes indeed. Also, I read somewhere that the director's original cut of Excalibur was over 3 hrs long but was cut down. I haven't heard anything about where to see it or if it's available. Do you know anything about it?

I haven't heard anything either about where to see it. And evn before your comment I didn't know it existed a 3 hours version. But that would be cool if J. Boorman made a director's cut DVD. :)
You seem quite a fan of Excalibur. Or maybe a Liam fan like me? :)
