I don't like Benvolio as a girl... I mean, Tybalt wouldn't actually fight her... he would try to pick her up!

He is suppposed to be a guy in the original play, our director chose it to be played by a girl because he liked her audition and we had a limited number of people for our cast.

i agree that she did well as Benvolio, but why did she play that character?

I think it was either the fact that we had a limited number of people for the parts or she was the best for the part as decided by the director.

Tybalt is a guy, Benvolio however was played by a girl in this play, which turned out rather well actually
