NASCAR Supertruck Series at Louisville 1995: (pt.1/8)

The start of the Ford Credit 200.

Because of the new qualifying procedure, 4th place qualifier Jack Sprague (#31) starts on the pole and leads the early laps.

John Nemechek (#87) spins in the last turn on the first lap, no caution.

Sprague gets loose trying to lap Nemechek and loses the lead to Joe Ruttman (#84).

CAUTION #1
Sprague gets spin by Tobey Butler (#21) after losing the lead, collecting points leader Mike Skinner (#3) in the process.
Scott Lagasse (#24) and Ron Hornaday (#16) smack into each other trying to avoid Sprague.
Steve Portenga (#83) and Jerry Glanville (#81) also spin in turn 1.

Hornaday has a problem and is stacking up the field behind him.
Mike Bliss (#08) spins out of the stack-up.
John Kinder (#14) gets damaged and takes a trip through the backstretch grass.

CAUTION #2
Hornaday's tire has finally gone flat and he loses a lap before he can bet back to the pits.

Tracks and races like this is what made me fall in love with the truck series! I wish they still had some of these old short tracks like this on the schedule...

@linesinthesand97 - this is one of very few tracks that i would like to see being built at a slightly larger scale to possibly accomidate 36 trucks or 43 cars nowadays, like make it 3/4 mile or 2/3 mile, same config. - would be great!!

As always, a great video. Do you happen to have the 95 truck race from Sonoma? That's one of the few truck races I haven't saw from the first season.

@oldschoolnascardude1 im workin on collecting 1995-2000, full seasons for all of them bit about halfway there lol i will eventually get around to doing it again, im sure :) i miss doing it and all the comments everyone leaves makes it worth while!
