The round-leaved sundew, one of Britian's most exotic and very few carnivorous / insectivorious plants, the sundew has gooey red hairs on the leaves that attract and then ensanre small insects, the leaves then curl round and they digest the insect. Amazing and quite beautiful! I was very excited to find them. They also have pretty flowers, although these are not present in this film.

  • nice. i live in illinois, and ive seen a few wild sarracenia purpurea in the wild before a few miles away from me, and its always a joy to see carnivorous plants in the wild.wish there were sundew here too!

  • I remember the first time I saw our native sundews when I was a kid, they really stand out amongst the reeds etc.

  • We are really lucky that we can see these plants in the wild from where we live, I always check upon their progress. Thanks for posting :).
