In my town, we belong to the sailboat union. And charge tenants a premium for the high rise view of the bay with our sails. Other wise, we have proved beyond reasonable doubt, that the bay is completely boring without sails. What do folks do in school then, Study? Study percentages, just like YouTube.

Hi, I'd greatly appreciate the plans that you have for this. i see you no longer use this email ad; is it poss to send it to my YouTube inbox?

@mataikan he has the forestay inside of the pvc so the pvc doesnt hold any tension. I would imagine this complicates stepping.

can you send me the materials list and instructions to my you tube inbox?
thanks

I really don't see why you have to put pvc in the sail. I had a 12' 1964 Rhodes sloop with homemade jib furling and main sail furler and I did not use anything to make it more rigid and it worked perfectly for over two years after construction (I sold the boat after 2 years). The main sail worked even nicer, and finally I bought a furler for the spinnaker from west marine to see the difference, and it worked same as mine.

The PVC is not in the sail. Rather, the PVC slides up the fore cable. There are slots cut in the PVC where the sail can continue to clip onto the cable. The jib wraps around the PVC.
