Superman - The Underground World - High Quality

This is the 6th Superman short on the DVD collection "Superman: The Eleventh Hour". In it, Clark Kent and Lois Lane go underground to find an empire of bird people.

This particular episode stuck with me because it has the stupidest ending of all the Superman shorts I've seen. I don't know if Lois is stupider for thinking Perry White would take the story on her word and a picture of some rocks, or if Perry is worse for lighting her report on fire. I mean, what if that's her only copy? She could at least sell it to another magazine.

And people say Superman is a dick.

Okay, great cartoon and everything...I just don't get something...They are underground, but they find bird people? Birds live above the ground...I should stop thinking...is that the point of this? LOL....

@benjovi356 Well, we know bird people don't live on the land, yet for some reason the cartoon creators wanted to keep it as realistic as possible (The Watchmen points out how absurd it is to think that with a super-powered demigod in our midst everything would stay the same, but nevermind that), so their choices for where birdpeople could come from were:

Space, the deep sea, or underground. And birds aren't even water animals (except ducks and other watersurface birds) so really only those two.
