This is Al Gassman of Runde's in East Dubuque, IL who demostrates how to disable the engine of a Dodge Durango according to the government's Cash for Clunkers or CARS program rules and regulations. After the video was shot, the Durango was hauled off to a scrap yard to be crushed (not shown). This video is very graphic in nature (especially if you are a MOPAR fan) -- We wish that we could assure you that no vehicles were harmed during the making of this video, but that's not the case. This Durango met a very painful and abrupt end as it bit the proverbial dust. RIP Durango...

  • A lot of people that cant afford a new rig that could use these rigs... SAD

  • What a waste. By the government's definition, I can buy a new 2010 Suburban and it is automatically a "clunker".

  • i wish i wouldve had al's recipe for this when my dad & I junked his 1994 dodge ram 1500 to the scrap metal yard since the engine was already not holding oil pressure i told him i wish i wouldve known how to do this when we junked it. it might have been fun to blow what was left of the engine up just to see it happen.

    FLAG1OITT

  • Complete Stupidity. Who the hell thought this would be a good idea. Take into consideration the pollution caused by constantly recycling and manufacturing new vehicles. This just doesn't make any sense, It's like they enjoy destroying things.

  • Sad Waste of a GREAT vehicle...

  • not a good 4.7

  • This makes me sick as hell

  • This is so sad. So many nice cars got ruined.

  • smh.... unbelievable.

  • this is rust free ! why would you send that to the scrap yard it's perfectly fine and safe

  • If there were "real" buyers for these cars they would not have been traded in for the 4500 bucks

  • Ditto. Nothing stimulates the economy like everyone getting further in debt.
