TransCanada Keystone XL Pipeline protest, Lincoln, NE 8/5/11

The governor refused to call a special legislative session to address the issue, then blamed U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) for not getting the route changed.

"He's the one person who could impact that decision, and he should be making that phone call," Heineman said.

Because siting authority lies with states, according to the Congressional Research office, Nelson fired back, saying Heineman's suggestion would be illegal.

"The state makes the routing decisions," Nelson said. "The governor needs to stop playing politics and decide where he wants the pipeline route to be."

They are having a meeting tomorrow in a small town (Atkinson) and there have been RUMORS of these MORONS (AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY) shipping in HUNDREDS of "COUNTER PROTESTORS". Atkinson has a pop of about 1200 It would be INTERESTING to see how many of the "COUNTER PROTESTORS" are LOCAL HMMM???
