my mother is 63 & still fighting with the 1960s & still a hippie.....seriously, no sarcasm meant there. Although she lived on the east coast to this day I still hear the stories of protests in NYC of how cops would run over people while riding on their horses. She was a protestor & married my dad a straight man army veteran & still says she has no idea how the hell that happened lol

@chunter5100 I lived on Irving Street in between 3rd & 4th.

@rocksinger45 what street did you live on? I lived on Maple Drive...
-
god I was 13....I lived about 7 blocks away...and I wanted a bike so bad...lol...but this was scary....really....I thought the cops were coming for me...

I love the wonderful old cars that the fascists pigs are driving. Oh man, I see some 1964 Ford Mustangs in there.
Amazing footage, sure way to piss off teenagers and make a fool of yourself is to treat them like that! do you have any more fillm of this era?
On a personal note; How I wish I had been brought up in LA as a teen!!

Part 2 off the bus holding his money changer close to him as people were trying to tip over his bus. Myself being 16 and never seeing anything like this was scared SHITLESS and started with my friend heading home. Mind you it was only around 9 p.m. at the time and I wasn't violating curfew at the time, but still I didn't want to get thrown in the old gray bar hotel.
Still it taught me a lot about politics and because of the war going on at the time...what the future held for me and others.
