Although Moujadara can be served alone, it is traditionally served with the refreshing yogurt drink and, or, tomato salad. You can also serve all kind of pickles with moujadara or fresh green onions and fresh bell pepper.

@erikafigueroadavila No, after cooking the brown lentil as demonstrated in mujadara video, measure the lentil liquid according to the type of rice you plan to use.For example: Two cups liquid for long grain rice, less liquid should be used for round grain or short grain rice. @jazzfnnybnny12 Funny how we never forget what and how our mother cooked our preferred meals! The secret to a perfect mujadara, my mother used to say, (and she was a great cook) is to measure the lentil liquid to cook the bulgur or rice with iand if the lentil liquid is not enough add water to reach the liquid required. And of course the browned onion plays a big roll too. Mixed some with the mujadara and serve the rest on side. Enjoy!
