Out Is In performing during Acts of Pride in 2005 at La Faculté Saint-Jean in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This piece was written by a collection of Edmonton LGBTQ youth and each line comes from a real experience from their lives. The poem has since gone through many different incarnations with new bits being added. It has also been performed many times by Outspeaks during their anti-homophobia workshops at schools and conferences.
(I'm the one sitting at the front of the stage in black, if anyone's wondering)
The ending was too abrupt, but good poem overall

Not to toot my own horn, but I conceived of the "One of Us..." piece for The Flirtation's first concert back in June 1988. We recorded a version of it on our "Live: Out on the Road" album in 1992. Glad it's still being used and opening hearts and minds.
