having the song in my collection for at least ten years my knowledge of the true story behind the track only fully hit me recently. I was playing with some slideshowprogramms for future projects and edited this one. as a test. this came out. not perfect, but i wanted to get the gravity of the tragedy in a compelling way.

i used free and shareware proggies and found that the timing of the images and lyrics got lost a bit during the upload. I know she isnt missing, but so many children faced the same fate as she and never were found. As far as I know they didnt find her killer. The song gives me chills to the bone! It's such a good thing Jon and the band spend energy and money for people in need, like care for kely and the housing projects

It shouldn't have taken several days for sniffer dogs to have been brought in to try to locate evidence. That should have been done immediately. Also, wasn't DNA evidence available back then? I'm sure it was, so there may well have been some DNA evidence if the crime scene, etc, had been inspected properly and evidence collected in the right way.

I also only just found out about the subject matter of this song. I've had the album for ages, and love it (it's one of my fave albums and I've got so many but this would definitely make my Top 20!). How sad that Katherine was abducted and killed (I'm sure it wasn't an accident from the details I've just read about the case). I wish to god the psycho who killed her had been found but perhaps the police in the case didn't do their jobs properly by the sound of it.

I do not believe there was any mysterious 3rd party involved in this death. Especially in swanky neighborhood. Cops need to get some brains and find out the truth and question Mom and son further.

@RSCII Oh my god kid. Would these be 'terrible, generic lyrics' if your daughter dissappeared one day and showed up dead? Im not sure whats wrong with you but Jon Bon Jovi obviously cared enough for his friend to write a song about it. When your daughter dies and they never catch the killer you can come talk about 'terrible, generic lyrics'.
