Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas, and the highest mountain outside Asia. It stands at 6,962 metres (22,841 ft). It is located in the Andes mountain range, in the Argentine province of Mendoza.
Rex Pemberton is the Youngest Australian to climb the Seven Summits. He climbed Mt Aconcagua in December 2007.
This is a clip of the epic journey.

This video was very touching. I'm 15 and a novice explorer trying to get some peaks bagged. This inspired me. What mountains would be recommended to start on? I've hiked in the Yukon and Grand Canyon. Ready to step up to mountains now after some training.

MitchStoneHD..its not fair to compare Kili and Ac. They are two totally different mountains with huge differences in distances, altitudes, time, effort, and climate. You must be in better physical shape and it is much more mentally challenging. On any given day a person in reasonable shape can summit Kili. Not always so with Aconcagua. I recommend Aymara. Top notch guides, supplies, and logistics.

Interested in the whole journey. Very glad you posted it but barely hear what you're saying when the wind hits. Had you thought of ditching the background music?
