Buddy, I appreciate you commenting back to me. I can see I was a little to harsh of you after watching it again. I have two teenage boys and they love to go airboatin, froggin and everything else that has to do with the water,so please don't think I'm one of them. Oh and by the way, blood doesn't gush whe you sever the spinal column!

@FloridaBoy5315 You don't understand the method of kill, their is a large venous plexus that sits dorsal to the spinal cord that is penetrated with your knife. This is a common feature in birds and reptiles. I base this knowledge on having a zoology degree and doctorate in veterinary medicine. When you pith the gator in your attempt to sever the spinal cord, it this plexus you are cutting into like cutting a jugular vein in a human. Tapped properly it gushes and leads to quick humane kill.Thank

I've hunted gators for a long time; just kill the gator and stop being a fucking dick the animal rights can bitch about. You need to be taught ethics of hunting!!!!!

@FloridaBoy5315 It seems to me that "Florida Boy" is the one worried about what everyone thinks! Doesn't sound like any Florida Boys I hunt with? Most of the Florida Boys I hunt with are proud of their Southern Heritage and not afraid to wear it on their sleeve. I think you should be proud of your Southern Heritage, not scared of it.

@stephendeibler Where in my statement does it say im not proud of my heritage, or that im worried what "everyone" thinks? What i simply meant is if you're gonna keep the gator gaffed at the boat, then show the kill with the knife to the spinal column.(I assume that's how they did it) Just don't give the ANTIS anymore ammo than they already have.

@FloridaBoy5315 I'm waiting for you too teach me the ethics of hunting. If you think showing blood gushing from the spinal venous plexus being tapped is going to bring the antis over to our side, I feel you are mistaken. This particular gator held his fight to boatside, this is reality, non-scripted, not for show. Having filmed over 40 hunts and kills in Florida, Georgia, and SC, I've learned to expect the unexpected. Critics are a dime a dozen. Reality isn't always cookbook. Thanks for comment
