That bit about getting the performance of one's child in school is off the mark. We'v nt got there as yet,but national exams results can be accessed via sms.
Other things that is being done using the mobile phone is car trackingand immobilising, fleet monitoring, security systems. One can also access bank account details including alerts when withdrawals are done.

@siasabora have you seen this? I just bumped into it and funny enough when I was watching the BBC breakfast news this morning(17th feb) and on the business news, they were talking about this ground breaking pioneering innovation that is being introduced in the UK market soon. Only the so called ground breaking innovation is our very own mobile cash transaction or the Kenyan version of M-pesa. When they talked in depth about it, they singled out Kenya as the country where it all started.
Thank you so much for almost 26k views and 490 likes. All that after just 1 week. It is the 4th best rated video of all those 10.000+ videos on the TEDxTalks channel. I am so happy about the many comments and all the ppositive feedback on my talk.

Kenya is a very rich country. We have so much that we take for granted but are actually the things that make us unique and make us who we are - Kenyans :-) So, Alexander, do come back for another visit and i assure you you'll discover many more hidden treasures :-) I'll forever remain Proudly Kenyan.
