The band's frontman, Kurt Cobain took to the stage in a wheelchair pushed by music journalist Everett True, parodying speculations about his mental health. He then went on to join the rest of the band, playing an assortment of old and new material.[16] At one point in the show before singing "All Apologies", Cobain revealed to the crowd the recent birth of his daughter Frances Bean and succeeded in having the crowd chant "Courtney, we love you!", in unison.

@ilsevdb he did that on purpose because at the time there were rumors that his drug addiction was out of control and that he was ill and people weren't even sure if Nirvana were going to perform at the time so when they did Kurt decided to "act the part"

was there, not backstage, obvs- he came out in wheelchair and wig as a fuck you 2 all the rumours/true reports that him and courtney were half dead, on drugs and in and out of hospital/rehab...it was muddy 2! So they wheeled him out and he acted all ill and shit, then just fuckiin leapt up and played the tightest, best set <3
