Macro photography lenses are usually quite expensive. This is a quick and dirty way to get a macro photograph no matter where you are. Most people look OUT the airplane window. I show you a neat method to look AT it.

  • When was this taken and where were you going??? Sounds french to me?

  • @1959Southernman

I spent 3 weeks in Africa. 1 1/2 weeks in the smallest nation in Africa (The Gambia), and 1 1/2 weeks in the war-torn nation of Sierra Leone. I'm flying back to the USA from Senegal, hence the French announcements in the plane.

  • Nice beard Destin!

  • @drasco61084 A DIY lens tutorial would imply its used on an SLR, so the title does say you need "one of those kind of cameras".

  • Wow, I did not know you could change the lens around like that and make it a macro lens.

Totally going to try it if I ever get a window seat sometime.

    Thanks!

  • Thumbs up if u did same thing after watching this video

  • @CrunchyBrush Not all DSLR's are high end, and some of the macro lenses cost more than the lower-end DSLR's. For example my camera body cost about $420 but if I wanted a macro lens it would be $500 XDD

  • cooool

  • To be fair, if you can afford to purchase a high end camera, it is likely that you are also able to afford a macro lens, but this is pretty damn awesome.

  • oh.. but the title doesn't say you need one of those kind of cameras. lol not "on the cheap" unless you already have one of those.

  • thats only on cheap planes

  • @Justin5645 3 seconds is a bit arbitrary, that's more than enough time to get dust in there, just exercise common sense - if you don't do anything dumb like try this at a building site or anything that dusty, you'll be fine. If you really care about your camera, you'll have a lens brush and huffer anyway and a speck or two of dust will be easily removed without scratching the glass...saying 'don't do this' is a knee-jerk reaction which is unhelpful in the extreme.
