If you are running a custom rom on your LG Optimus V and would like to return it to stock to sell or return this is how you would do it.

The terminal commands you will need are:

Youtube descriptions don't let you use certain characters needed for the commands so to http://pastebin.com/Bm37Fc8H to get them

Also once you are done flash_image will still be on your phone so if you would like to remove it remount as rw again and type rm /system/bin/flash_image then remount as ro again.

I haven't actually tried to return a phone after doing this so i have no idea if they will be able to tell you have done anything to it to void the warrenty.

Credit goes to this guy who provided the rom backup and flash image and also has a guide on his thread but some of the steps were different for me which is why i made the vid - http://forum.sdx-developers.com/index.php?topic=11534.0

  • why cant i choose with the camera button in the booting screen?

  • @9919soccermaniac If you have a different version of clockword mod the older ones use the menu button instead of the camera button

  • Thanks for the vid. Everything works fine except for GPS. It says i'm one place, but i'm really in a different location. I was on a custom rom before i switched back to the stock because of the same thing. I'd really like to have GPS working like it should. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

  • @CMuffley81 How far off is your gps? i don't think ive seen or heard of this problem but i don't use mine very much. A few times ive seen mine think i was somewhere close by but i thought maybe it was just because i was on some back road it doesnt know about.
