  • nice truck none the less and idk who was on here givin thumbs down but shame on them nice truck btw very good sound and bein a 99 id be careful with that edge i have seen a couple vp44 trucks that were ran with that sucker turned up and when the lift pump got weak it killed the vp44 just a word of warning from a Cummins techuse it wisely and keep an eye on lift pump pressure other than that have fun and enjoy that beast

  • Thanks! I've taken care of the lift pump problem with a FASS fuel system. Still keep an eye on the pressures just to be safe but the FASS has really helped out.

  • yea not everbody thinks about that and i didnt remeber seein anything about it so i thought id pass along the info i believe these monsters should be enjoyed as they were meant to be but as with most things that can be modified not everyone goes about it the right way my dream is to own or co own a shop that teaches diesel perfomance sells and maintains the diesels we serviceany moron can put a chip in a truck but it take knowledge to build a performance diesel

  • I've had a good guy to go to as far as advice on these things. He just happens to run the first ever diesel powered race monster truck. Check out some of my favorited videos on here of my "work truck" its a 2000hp blown alcohol hemi powered monster. I've gotten to know the driver of the diesel truck very well and he's helped me out quite a bit when it comes to this stuff.

  • @PredatorLK My ass smoke's more than that after a mexican dinner! I'm just fuckin with ya. That is a nice sounding truck. Look's good too for it's year. I see a few dodge owner's around here that don't take care of there rig. Rust along the bottom of the body and such. Such a shame. Did you straight pipe it, or is there a high flow muffler on?

  • @CSXtrackworker When this video was taken there was no chip or anything on the motor, it was bone stock. So that's why it did not smoke at all.

Thanks for the comment on how the truck looks. I try to keep all of my stuff clean. I take a lot of pride in it and work my tail off for everything I've got so I take care of it.

And in this video it has the 5" MBRP exhaust system with their muffler on it.

  • any problms with losing low end torque, i always hear "dont run the big of pipe or ull loose low end torque" how has urs been. Sounds awsome too

  • @BowHunterAz08 well there where a couple years of the vp44 trucks that they dont make a programmer for cant remember of the top of my head but i have heard good things about mads smarty's programmers i wouldnt be worried about the injection pump with a boost mod cause its not really gonna make the injection pump work much harder except at lower engine speeds if using a boost fooler lift pump issues on vp44 trucks are a concern i recomend a gauge that reads from at least 0-15 psi

  • @jonesd5o I just bought a 2000 Cummins, I want to get a programmer for it. What would you recommend and if all possible I would like to stay away from having to get bigger injectors. Im also worried about lift pump or Injection pump problems with a boost mod

  • Sounds AWESOME!! does it have a muffler and is your downpipe 5" too??

  • beautiful truck.

  • no smoke?

  • What brand of rims r those?

  • Nice, put a smarty on her..lol

  • @mk37mgteboy Thank you! Hands down the 5.9 is the best sounding diesel in consumer trucks. I love the engine noise from the 7.3, so loud and raw! So industrial sounding lol. Love it. All other diesel V8's just sound like choked gas motors.

  • how big is the tip?
