Know the truth the neocons corrupt: Andy Martin is once again trying to out Sen. Obama's birth certificate in a feeble attempt to disprove the legitimacy of his campaign. The facts are, Sen. Obama's birth certificate has already been circulated, the man is fully vetted as a natural born citizen of the United States. Andy Martin is wasting his time to whip up some kind of pathetic fervor amidst the willing sheep that listen to his near-libel.

To suspend would mean to halt everything you're doing right now for the moment. Whether or not McCain's campaign did halt on many levels, he's always for the dramatic, a trait that has in this case, set him back in the race, especially when he side-lined in Washington in the bailout proposal plan and then ended up throwing the monkey wrench into the works at the last minute. The only good that came out of that incident was a fluke that caused the legislation to revise the plan a bit more.

In fact, in 1999, Mr. McCain opposed efforts to change the earned-income tax credit, which gives payments to the working poor, and called it a "much-needed tax credit for working Americans." And in this campaign, he has proposed to use the tax code to do more such "wealth-spreading." Mr. McCain's health-care plan provides for "refundable" tax credits. You can't have it both ways. If Obama is a "socialist", then McCain is one too.

Under Obama's plan, only the top two tax brackets will rise and those will rise by 3% and 6% respectively, rolling by the Bush tax cuts from '01-04 back to where they were in 2000.

What does McCain really think about that?

McCain himself opposed the Bush tax cuts of 2001. He said, "I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us, at the expense of middle-class Americans." (WSJ, Oct 18)
