  • what wood lathe is that and how much does it cost?

  • @MrBluetrumpet This is my old lathe, you can probably pick up an used one for $100.00.

  • I am very interested in using the pic chuck on some musical instrument projects, but I would need to know if the "pin" has any marring effect on the inside of the piece. Can you see if it deforms the inside of the piece?

  • As long as it is hardwood it really does not mare the inside at all. On a softer wood it might mark it up a little bit, but nothing substantial.

    Thanks,

    Carl

  • I have a lot of Maple.

  • what wood you use most often?

  • Hi,

I made it to make duck call it's not something you will need for turn most projects I was just playing around with it with some small boxes. They do make much smaller pin chucks for making bottle stopper.
