Really?  Maybe it was because it was recorded after Elvis had just completed a concert. It was 3 AM Elvis was most likely worn out. He was asked to stay after the arena cleared out to record some filler songs since an expanded version of Aloha was to televised in the US. WTF is your point? anyway? Yea GL sang it better, but I can name you 100 songs Elvis sings better than GL.

THis was a filler song for the Aloha Concert. Elvis recorded this 3 AM after the concert was over and the arena had cleared out. He had been up like 20 hours. You are right Lightfoot does sing it better.,.....Now you want me to list the 100 songs Elvis sings better than Lightfoot? I don't get the reason for your post asshole.... Yea its cover of a Lightfoot song that Elvis recorded because he liked GL as an artist..
