Varsity Grudgeby Teams Revealed- Oxford and Cambridge going head-to-head for the 128th time

The line-up for 128th Varsity match has been unveiled with both sides promising to deliver fireworks at Twickenham on Thursday 10th December in a match being billed as Grudgeby

The light blues of Cambridge University are seeking revenge in the Nomura Varsity Match after a comprehensive defeat (33-29) last year at the hands of the dark blues of Oxford. But overall, Cambridge currently leads Oxford by 60 victories to 53.

Cambridge will be led by Dan Vickerman, who played for Australia in the 2003 World Cup final. Having retired from international rugby last year with 55 caps he is now midway through a three-year degree and was a member of the Cambridge side that narrowly lost last year. The Oxford captain Dan Rosen is a three-time Blue, a former Barbarian and played for England at U16 level.

Some of rugbys greats have featured in previous encounters, including Englands Rob Andrew, Victor Ubogu and Phil de Glanville, and from further afield - Gerald Davies, Gavin Hastings, David Kirk and Joe Roff. And some players in this years clash already have Guinness Premiership and even international experience.
