In 2005, Idi Amin returned to Uganda in the form of actor Forest Whitaker, who's starring in the movie 'The Last King of Scotland'. The film is a thriller set in Amin's Uganda and tells the story of a fictional Scottish doctor who becomes the dictator's closest advisor. But making a movie about such a controversial figure raises a number of questions. Is it possible to separate the real Idi Amin from the strange and bizarre stories that surround him? How will Ugandans react to this interpretation of their history and how does their view of Idi Amin differ from that of the West? This documentary follows the filmmakers on location in Uganda. But it is far more than just a traditional "making of" and uses the movie as a starting point to explore the bizarre world of Idi Amin.

  • @alHalwima Fuck the Brits and Europe. They had more tyrants that not only cause damage to their own nation, but ALL around the world. Just look at the genocides committed by Napoleon in Haiti. Or the Germans poisoning 300,000 Namibian tribesmen. Or the savage torture and murders of children in the Congo by Belgian colonist. Or the genocides in committed in Australia and New Zealand by the British. I could go on and on..

  • I am not an expert, but I know one thing for a fact, people should NEVER base their facts or judgements from information obtained from the mainstream media. The mainstream media always provides "prepared" information. I am not saying amin was good to his people.

  • pure british prpoganda garbage.

  • @NewOrleansboii And from our mistakes, apparently the USA has been helplessly incapable of learning anything... Do you know that your country represents torture and nuclear warfare to the rest of the world. I don't know what you're being taught over there but for example you use uranium ammunition. In certain areas of iraq (the ones you shot up) 80% of all children are born deformed. Doctors and authorities are now advicing entire populations to simply stop having babies...

  • the evil man go with good man go with go my lord be with ur all

  • @NewOrleansboii Well this guy is from Africa so what do I need to say Fuck Africa... You know some history but your reasoning is useless... Hirohito of Japan, Josef Stalin, Ivan IV of Russia, Pol Pot is Cambodian, Khomeini from Iran, Ghengis Khan is Mongolian...

America supporting Israel,... take a look at Palestine.

    Fuck The World...

  • @alHalwima "The British were not smart in decolonizing Africa"

They shouldn’t have colonized it in the first place. Then none of the problems in Africa would be happening today. Also, the British didn’t decolonize Africa because they wanted to. Africans began fighting for their independence and won it.

  • @NewOrleansboii And your point is? Because so far, you've ascertained that the potential for tyrants supersedes borders, ethnic and cultural divides... welldone. Now returning to the case of Idi Amin - someone should have killed him :)

  • This is nothing but pure PROPAGANDA!!! The colonial powers were way worse when it comes to BRUTALITY!!! Just ask the NATIVE INDIANS!!! And while we're at it, here's an assignment question: Which of the modern democratic countries on the planet Earth is the only country to have dropped an ATOMIC BOMB on another country??? So before u judge Idi Amin, why don't you make a video about the answer to the above question??

  • of course not but america bombs places where there are woman and children so that is the brutal thing of all point is idi amin was taught to be brutal from the british. before the european came african leaders where just how you know is there warfare was done to limit casualtie becuase they understood that all african no matter what tribe came from central africa as all humans did. and know i love all race cuz they all come for the black man but ego make ppl deny that

  • @MariusChivu838814 African have less hair than Europeans... Does to show you who's more evolved lol
