Good advice. Two I would add:
11: If you have a community shower, wear shower sandals - they may not look stylish, but a good pair of shower shoes is worth the peace of mind. (and cheaper than medicated cream for athletes foot.)
12: If you have a community shower, there WILL be that ONE guy who showers with the curtain open... just get used to it, no matter how much you yell he'll just mock your modesty and keep scrubbing.

That number 11 kinda goes with people not being clean. I just wear my old navy flip flops in the shower! And I don't think I much have to worry about number 12 because I live in an all girls' dorm and our bathrooms are off limits to them, if they get caught in there they get kicked out so if they DID shower, it wouldn't be with the curtain open ;)
