  • I think the skeleton looks tacky. Would look much better without it.

Sorry you lost all the fish. Deeper substrate would help the plants root better btw.

    Looks nice though!

  • substrate is plenty deep... was, rather. Im now in a 75 gallon tank. Also, just because it isn't your style doesn't make it look tacky. Don't be an arse.

  • I actually ended up using hydrogen peroxide and it worked like a charm. cheap, too!

  • dont apologize at all! I appreciate the help. Actually, I had three otos in this tank. I say "had" because my CO2 injection went haywire last night and killed every fish in the tank. So now I have a water plant tank, not a fish tank. I think I'll start buying more fish as soon as I get my regulator fixed.

  • Oh hahah.. three years ago.. sorry.

  • I don't know if other people have messaged you this, I didn't read all the comments, but your lighting may be causing the issue too. I had the same problem and found out the bulbs I put in were not right for my tank. Good luck.

  • @forrestcook tacky style :(

  • I go 6 hours 45 minutes on a timer. It's perfect

  • I have lots of plants in my aquarium and I use a high voltage lighting but I never get algae growth because I have two large plecos - I recommend getting some they realy help. I would probably get the large ones as they will eat more algae and because you have a large tank/aquarium

  • I think the problem is the phosphates that saturate manciple water. The best way to get it out is through reverse osmosis, but they also make a lot of chemicals and stuff to put you filter to help remove it. The problem with the latter is that whatever they remove the tap water puts back in. Bottled water also doesn't have any phosphates in it, but gets expensive. You can also buy carbon inserts like Chem Pure, that don't have any in it as well. Siamese algae eater will also eat this algae.

  • the answer isnt plecos or water changes or scraping its much simpler its the lighting it looks to me like you need a new less powerfull light setup dont mess with buying a bunch of stuff just lower the watt per gal (wpg) to 2-3 wpg and buy an electric timer for the lights so you dont forget i promise the problem will go away on its own

  • @forrestcook The anwser is.......Get A pleco! Or two ok maybe three for your tank.

  • i think that algae can look nice when its long and off the walls.

  • @zerocool212121 sorry im just trying to help. my fish eat others.
