Here we have a flock of brown pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis californicus )on the beach at Santa Barbara, California.
This is the smallest species of pelican although its wingspan may be up to 2.5 metres in length. It dives for food unlike the white pelican for example. The brown pelican prefers fish in the herring family.

  • I need to point out that the 'penguins' in this film are in fact dressed up as pelicans in order to fool ornithologists.

  • you said "a flock of penguins" lol

  • @EscambiaDemocrats What should it be?

  • @alanheath "Pelicans". It's in the audio of the footage. You said penguins. Penguins are the birds that don't fly and wear tuxedos. I'm pretty sure those aren't Penguins. I just thought it was funny. Great video though. I love Pelicans.

  • another super film
