For Cancer Research? Sure you can shave my head!

In March 2010, Gisela and I shaved our heads at a St. Baldrick's event to raise money for cancer research. Gisela was able to cut most of her hair just before the shaving (which explains her scraggliness) to donate it to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths, who provide free wigs to cancer patients. My hair was obviously too short to donate.
In the course of the week before the event, Gisela and I raised over $1300. It is an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone willing to lose their hair.

@bananaphone172 You should totally do it! It's been over a year and my hair is almost the length it was when I shaved it (it would be the same length if I hadn't trimmed it since then).

It's an enlightening experience and well worth the naked noggin, especially if you can raise some money!

@gisalecolz Did you know that aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrate is in all anti-persperants. Aspertame (Phenylalanine) is in alot of sodas, gums, and other sweets. These two chemicals combine and coat the neurons in the brain with aluminum and create Alzheimers. There is a link with all this aluminum spraying and the poisonous Phenylalanine "they" are putting in our foods.

@girlygirlxx11 how is this offensive to people with cancer? the point is to shave your head so that people will pledge money/donate to St. Baldricks. i think that this is a great idea. you really are making a statement, especially if you are a girl, if you shave your head to support cancer research. the point is to catch people's attention and make them aware of the organization.
