@Red1676 The split board is a really cool way to go off piste. I might have to get one myself - easier to carry than climbing skis and probably better control on way down ungroomed trails. Hey if you can climb up you can ski down free! I met a girl at Jiminy Peak years ago who walked up to the top with her Xcountry skis, no lift ticket required, love at first sight!

@gotglasses bud its no different than me going to whistler for the day, which is why i go to cypress. but i dont cair. in other words i dont cair, i dont have money to go heli skiing thats why i own a split board for hiking hills so. i would only go to this hill to prove a point, that to ban snowboarders is pointless just because of false information. ya i also hear we screw up your snow because of our tracks, you do the same to us. so i guess i will buy my own hill and wont let skiers on it.

@Red1676 Deer Valley security is more effective than Egypt - your visit will cost you $90 bucks. Which come to think of it keeps 99% of boarders travelling without Daddy away. You can however take the Heli-Ski to the top of the cherry peaks across from Bald Mountain and make EVERYONE jealous!

lady morgan express??
is the gondola still there?

@Evanc1231 Yes, the Jordanelle Express Gondola off the Mayflower/Deer Crest exit on Hwy 40 is still there and operating. I like using this entrance to Deer Valley sometimes because it rarely is crowded and is a fast and easy way to access the mountain.

I wonder what Shaun White would say about the ban against snowboarding

@LazyPersonPictures I have never heard any opinions from him either way. I think when you have your own private superpipe it probably doesn't matter much. :-)

This is a great resort! My cousin lives there! I just went to Aspen and Breckinridge, which are very good, and it seemed like there wasn't to mug powder and the tree skiing was awful! @ Deer Valley you will find the best tree skiing available!! SKI UTAH

@TheBlackhawks111 Yep, awesome tree skiing as well as open bowls and impeccably groomed trails - lots of variety for beginners and experts.
