In hard chrome electroplating only chromic acid can be used.

You use chromic acid as a source of chrome and some sulfuric acid as source of sulfate ions you will need some lead parts as anode material.

I wouldn't recommend to use this type of electroplating at home. It's dangerous technique which complicated as well. It's not that easy to deal with if you plan to plate many parts.

Hi, i just wanna know can chromic acid be used to chrome plate... and if so how's the process...or probably to create a chromic bath... can you please give me more info.. so i can try it at home.. instead of shelling out a lot of bucks...

@bckw39283 dont be a fucking retard, silver plate will cover the surface, it doesnt change anything about the metal you cover it with. Just rub it off with sandpaper or steel wool. You clearly have learn absolutely fucking nothing from this video, or you are just unintelligent.
