  • We can't find anything that looks like a master socket or test socket in the property (block of flats). The connection is terrible regardless of which socket we connect the router to and it seems likely that a problem with the internal wiring is the culprit. What do we do? Who do we phone? How do we get our internal wiring fixed (or at least someone to come round our house and help without charging us £130 callout charge)?

  • @bandmedal The best thing to do is get a fault reported and run diagnostics so we can understand the likely cause of the issue, I've sent you a PM.

  • Thumbs up if your BT internet is about 0.12Mbps!

I can't even watch this video, it takes my 17 seconds to load google, and 19 seconds to send an email.

  • @Hail455 you think that's bad mine is 50 kb and i took a test and it said i should get around 500 kb?? wtf

  • Cant load the video my download speed is so poor. My speed runs between 90-100kbs consistently. Any video service on the web is unusable and my home hubv2.0 is connected straight to the master socket My downstream is 5200kbs meaning accord to the table on the bt speedtester i should get between 1-7mb download speed which i used to get in around august since when our internet has been appalling, also on the speedtester it says max speed it 250kbs and our 93kbs is acceptable?whats going on?

  • my phone socket it using the test socket all the time i dont have any wires direct into the face plate is that slowing my connection i get 0.9 Mbps

  • Still cannot see video . Download speed so poor despite advice on the good old landline. After 2 days connected to home hub3 can I expect a return to the speed my previous ISP gave? Could I expect a speed advertised, advised in writing, and seen on the web? What advice can you give me to get a better speed from BT Broadband?
