A cover of The Beatles' classic "Here Comes the Sun" when King's X was called The Edge in the 80s. I cannot confirm 100% it is the band, but everything about it sounds like King's X.

I have uploaded the mp3 at the following location:

  • THIS IS AWESOME!! I would have no problem with king's x doing a tribute album to the beatles.... there may be no other more qualified band

  • Yup, that's unmistakably Doug's voice and Ty's style as an "80's" rocker out of place with what they were to eventually become. In Ty's own words, "we were trying to please everybody but ourselves" and "before King's X, we played cover tunes, but always with heavier guitars." Just reread an Oct. 1991 GW interview w/Ty where he said all that & more. However, Ty being a Beatles fan I think they were [pleasing themselves] in this case & they put their signature stamp on this tune. Great!

  • One of a kind group of guys

  • I love White Lion!

  • They need a video biography on this band from start to current

  • @rafro007 you should write a biography on them

  • amazing! nothing more to say.. nyyh.

  • @manofthecloth613

Yes, George Harrison song. I wish Doug could still sing like this. He has gotten old, and with all the constant Pot, a bit lazy on vocal performance.

  • love king's x! great job on this cover hell yea!

  • i'm an avid fan.

7.11.1999 in Knoxville TN. was was one of the best nights of my life!

b.t.w.: not a Beatles song per se, but George Harrison.

also; Ringo [Richard Starkey] is credited as having the 1st post-beatles hit,

but many year later George [who produced] admitted to having contributed to the writing of Ringo's hit "it don't come easy".

ALSO: though there be FEW who seem to discern it,

i do still hear the influence of Phil Keaggy [even on tour in 2009] on Ty's Guitar playing.

  • They will always have the respect from us the true fans

  • They kept true to the song and they put there take on it way cool
