Ah, I went to those places also back in 2006 I believe with my re-enactment group. Actually took part in the ceremony at Menin Gate in uniform. Heres something eery for you. There was a thunderstorm that lasted exactly the same time as the silence. First crack on the first chime of the clock, last thundercrack on the last chime. Then perfect blue skies.
Makes you wonder doesn't it?

30/3/09 til the 1/409.
i actually layed a wreath at Menin Gate for my school.
and i went to the same chocolate shop!
