@PACSMUM1 , yes image is most important in hip hop now. The thing that makes the least sense to me is these so called "gangstas" so focused on jewelry. That's feminine shit to me. There's nothing wrong with a guy wearing some jewelry but when u want to talk or brag about that over your music then it becomes ridiculous. Last time i checked the saying goes "diamonds are a WOMAN's best friend". It's obvious that there passion is money and material things and not hip hop music.

@PACSMUM1 , i think that fan probably shoud have said " hip hop has always been about clubs and bitches for as long as I'VE been listening to hip hop ". I will say this. Songs like that have been around for a long time but it was a small part of the big variety in mainstream rap at one time. Now that is all u hear in the mainstream and the rappers doing it all say the same shit and use the same beats and drum sounds. No cleverness or originality in how they do it.

@PACSMUM1, lol i'm glad u found that funny but the sad part is it's true . Yes we are definitely outnumbered. The record labels took hip hop and turned it into pop music. Most of the mainstream rappers are pop artists and dont even know it. They think they're hip hop artists. Same with the fans. They're pop music fans, not hip hop fans. But the media calls it hip hop so they think that's what it is.
