I can understand how, if I were a gay congressman or senator, I might want to keep that a secret. There are just too many people who won't vote for a candidate if they think he or she is gay.
I'm not saying it's right, but I can understand and, to a degree, forgive that.
But if I'm a gay congressman or senator and I not only keep that a secret but constantly VOTE AGAINST and CAMPAIGN AGAINST gay issues, then I'm the equivalent of a black Klansman, of a Jewish Nazi.
Finally, I'm glad to see braver journalists like Kirby taking on this horrifying hypocrisy.
I saw the doc a couple nights ago. Lots of food for thought. Two thumbs up.
