  • yeah weight distribution has to be it. less bogging down in the snow means less wasted fuel and time as well as less chance to fall through some ice :p

  • now thats a man-van

  • @huntersmith1989 bad on ice great on soft snow

  • wow i thought big tires where bad damn im always wrong ...retard

  • This is pretty much it. It's a balance between weight and fuel capacity. An ordinary 4x4 couldn't carry enough fuel to make the trip and maintain flotation on the soft snow. Going large enough to carry that fuel increases the weight, and you'd have to distribute that weight over a larger area...50% greater area going from a 4x4 to a 6x6 makes a huge difference.

I'm planning on building one with 47" pitbull growlers instead of the 44" Trxus STS.

  • Yes especially considering size of the load

  • look as cool

  • 6wd loooooks much cooler :D

  • In the beginning of the trip the car weighted about 6,7 tonns... loded with fuel and other supplies, such as numerus spare parts...
