Our family dog "Koro-chan (コロちゃん)" is a Japanese Hokkaido-ken. He was the winner of the local pet competition. He is a good boy and is a very sweet, caring, cute and funny dog to bring more joy and happiness into our life. He is a wonderful family member, and we like him and appreciate him very much. The Hokkaido (北海道犬, Hokkaidō-ken, or Hokkaidō-inu) is a breed of dog. Other names for the breed include Ainu-ken, Seta, and Shita. In Japan, its name is sometimes shortened to Dō-ken. The Hokkaido is native to the prefecture of the same name in Japan.

When I was a child, I had a street Japanese Mikeneko cat and a Japanese Shiba dog. They were so cute and were very special friends to me. The Shiba Inu (柴犬, shiba inu or shiba ken) is the smallest of the six original and distinct breeds of dog from Japan. A small, agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain. The Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting. It is similar in appearance to the Akita, though much smaller in stature.

Our pets are our best friends and wonderful family members which often remind us important things in life such as friendship, loyalty, trust, care and love. We can't communicate with our pets in words but can communicate through our hearts. It's so amazing to realize that our pets can read our mind and can understand us. We can learn so much from our pets to become a better person with more compassion, love and gratitude.

We live on this beautiful planet, Mother Earth, breathe the same air, and drink the same water. We are all brothers and sisters and members of the human family.

Life is a precious gift to enjoy, celebrate, and appreciate! Life is a choice, and we need to choose to be happy! We make things happen by wishing them! Ask, Believe, then Receive! Golden Rule: Treat others as you would like to be treated! Thank you!
