Brief demonstration for emulation comparison and just to showcase a pretty badass semi-automatic gun game that uses infrared positioning rather than the old optical method which required white screen flashes. Taito's high price tag for this machine caused it to see limited distribution in the USA, since Konami's Lethal Enforcers was coming out as very inexpensive conversion kit -- an installable format that Under Fire's gun tracking method would not accommodate. The game hit streets in America in 1994 and employed the use of the Ensoniq 5505 (OTIS) sound chip, a top piece of hardware, for exclusive use by Taito. Ensoniq was located in Malvern, PA before its sale to Creative Labs, a few years later.
