I agree that alot of us try to be overly masculine. I catch myself yelling at myself when I come off as the least bit feminine...even if it's something as small as standing a certain way. If I act 'gay' at all..I feel like I don't pass.
Personally though I never was socialized as a girl (wasn't social, period) and I only learned to socialize really once I transitioned. I never understood women's socialization. I agree w/ that explanation of women's love/hate relationship but hey...idk.
