"I Heard a Rumour" is a 1987 song recorded by English girl group Bananarama, featured on their Wow! album. It was also featured in the film Disorderlies (starring The Fat Boys) and included on its soundtrack.

"I Heard a Rumour" became one of Bananarama's biggest singles, hitting #14 in their native UK, and climbing to #4 in the U.S., #2 in Canada and #8 in New Zealand. It was also a hit in nightclubs, prompting a top-five placing on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart.

Songwriter and music producer Pete Waterman names "I Heard A Rumour", as one of his favorite songs.

  • I love this song....I would never say this unless I thought it would be a good thing...I think the Spice Girls could have remade this....they would have sang it just as great as Bananarama :-)

  • I LOVE their voices...or their collective voice. I love Youtube. :-)

  • este tema me trae recuerdos de mi infancia a mediados de los 80S ,sin duda alguna siempre me a gustado desde entonces gracias por subir este lindo sonido de esta gran decada 80S.

  • @travisisit Me too ♥♥

  • God I'd forgotten how truly diabolical stock-aitken-waterman were. They really were masters at turning anything they touched into pure shit -every one of their records sounded disturbingly the same as the previous. The 3 of them were responsible for strangling the talent of so many artists before they had a chance to make any real artistic capital for themselves. The only thing that SAW were good at was mediocrity of the most nauseating kind -the N/M team that were the cornerstone of 80's cack!

  • Which banana was the ripest?

  • they were truly a great group

  • have this on a record~ <3

  • SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN!
