@IHaveSynthed yeah I tihnk you're missing it. I'll tell you how to find it. Get an old analog clock and sit down with it. set it to 1:00 and watch it over the course of an hour, every minute marking, with a sharpie, its position of the hour hand.

When using the hands of a clock reference to communicate knob position how is it possible to dial in "1:30 ish" with just one volume knob? on a clock it requires two hands to point to 1:30. am i missing something here?
