All credit (and thanks) for the sim/game goes to Grant Kot http://www.youtube.com/kotsoft

This was recorded using FRAPS on an E8400@3.6GHz(400MHzx9) / X-38 / 4GB-PC6400@400MHz / 512MB-8800GT@Stock / VistaX64.

It uses one CPU core only.

Controls:
Left mouse: Repel
Middle mouse: Spin
Right mouse: Attract
(Buttons can be used in conjunction for combining effects)
Up button: Increase iterations
Down button: Decrease iterations

Version 1:
1600x1000 resolution
http://kotsoft.googlepages.com/TexturedFluid.zip
http://kotsoft.googlepages.com/TexturedFluidS2.zip (sub-version, not in this video)

Version 2:
1600x1000 resolution
Features iteration control (speed of simulation) (3 max in this video)
http://kotsoft.googlepages.com/ViscoelasticS2.zip

Version 3:
Full screen resolution (1680x1050 in my case)
Features iteration control (speed of simulation) (4 max in this video)
Features FPS counter
*Note: This version actually runs at half speed in the video, due to the way FRAPS works, and the way the FPS counter was implemented. When FRAPS is off, speed is doubled.

  • lag

  • Get the latest version and change the iterations.

And yes, i love Kot's stuff. I should demo more of it in my videos im being lazy.

  • LOL yeah. It drives me crazy man.

  • This demo does run very slow on my computer(if it's the demo you're talking about). I've got 2 GB RAM and a 2.67 GHz processor. It runs at around 1 fps, which kinda made me wanna cry. However, it should run much much faster, because Kot's other physics sandbox runs 1800 particles quite a lot faster (24-33 FPS approximately, but I can't read the exact FPS because it's covered up :( ). Kot is a genius, and his software is awesome (what was the original reason I wrote this? I can't remember :().

  • i got a 512 ram and a intelk celeron processor of 2.80 ghz

  • Fucks sake, this is NOT OE-Cake (which can be downloaded for free still)

  • saadly thats not free anymore

  • It would be cool if we could have like oe-cake rain going from the top of the screen and falling on the icons and windows and such, then dropping off the bottom of the screen.
