Another Marvin Rainwater song that he played live on stage in Hemsby on Friday night ! This great Rockabilly performer was born in 1925 (!) and had his first success with the song "I gotta get my baby back" that he wrote in 1954. A lot of artists recorded it and the for Teresa Brewer it was a smash hit. After that it was easier to find a record company. This was then M-G-M Records, he recorded from 1955 to 1960 a lot of country and Rockabilly tunes, mostly self written. Two Lp's were released (and a third in 1962). Many of his songs have a very fine sense of humor (like "Tea bag Romeo" or "So you think you got troubles") - if you don't know the work of this great man - please rush to the next shop and buy a Marvin Rainwater record !
